Before you appeal a Merchant Center "misrepresentation" suspension: a Shopify checklist

A misrepresentation suspension usually arrives without the specific reason. Google's policy says most violations get a warning with 7โ€“28 days to fix, egregious ones are suspended immediately, and appeal reviews typically take 7 business days (Google: misrepresentation policy). Appeals are limited, so rule things out first.

What the policy lists

What you can check on the storefront

  1. Policies exist and say something. Shipping, refund, privacy and terms pages with real text (empty-policy guide).
  2. The refund policy states a return window and return method, matching Merchant Center's "Shipping and returns" settings (source).
  3. Real contact details โ€” an email address and, if you have them, a phone number and the same business address that is in Merchant Center. A form alone gives a reviewer nothing to verify.
  4. Prices match between your product pages, the feed and checkout, including sale prices.
  5. No borrowed authority โ€” brand names, "official", "authorized" or trust badges you cannot back up.

What no tool can see

Many causes sit in your Merchant Center or Google Ads account settings, business verification, or the history of the domain. Checking the storefront rules out the site-side causes; it cannot rule out those account-side ones, or tell you Google's reason.
